Museum Day!

No, seriously.

Museum Day is September 30th. Admission to many museums in the country are free on September 30th if you print out a free pass located on this website.

The site lists museums by state that have free admission that day; in Atlanta, Fernbank Science Center, Carlos Museum at Emory University, Atlanta High Museum of Art, and others are all free if you bring the pass obtained from the website. Each pass admits two people.

Restrictions include:
~ General admission only
~ Not valid for special exhibits, IMAX screenings or for use with any other offer.
~ One time use on September 30, 2006.
~ Some participating museums may already have a free admission policy year round and are participating in the “spirit” of the day.

In short – download the pass, but visit the individual museum site or call ahead to make sure there won’t be any surprises.
