Art Clokey’s Gumby: The First 50 Years

Yessiree, the greenest and most polite claymation man in showbiz, Gumby (Damnit!) is coming to the Center for Puppetry Arts in August.

I’m a little unclear what kind of artifacts, interviews and information will be on display for the exhibit, but hopefully it’ll be much less thorough than Bodies at the Civic Center. I imagine a Gumby cross-section is fairly uniform and green, anyhow.

So yeah, Gumby.

Hey, I’m interning at the Center for Puppetry Arts and just wanted to let you know that the Gumby exhibit is composed of clay puppets and sets mostly from the 80’s series New Adventures of Gumby and Gumby the Movie. Also, on August 4th at 8pm there will be a screening of Rare Films by Art Clokey that encompass Gumby episodes as well as shorts that don’t feature Gumby. Thanks for mentioning us!
