Ah, Summer in Atlanta

Ah, Summer in Atlanta. I think i have a love-hate relationship with Atlanta weather. Why is it that when we are going to be out of town for four days straight, not a drop of rain will fall? We come home to a scorched and brown yard, dotted with wilting shrubs and flowers. Then, when we are back home in the ATL, ready to reimmerse ourselves in a routine of park outings, backyard play, and mooched pool outings, the bottom falls out. Days of gray.

Am I missing something? Did we anger the weather gods? I am thinking that someone did something to cause the rain delays of fireworks at Centennial Olympic Park and Turner Field. (A little rain didn’t stop the shows at Lenox, I guess, although I shudder to think what it was like sitting through a thunderstorm with that crowd.)

Whomever it is, this is your chance to absolve yourself of your sins by ‘fessing up. Let’s hear it. What did you do?
