Red Light, Green Light

Putting along in traffic Tuesday night on North Ave. I watched as a decked out Escalade blew through the red light, then promptly pointed and turned into Nelson Muntz with a big “HA HA” as I thought of my pal Eric’s entry from last week about his traffic camera experience at the same intersection.

Maybe I’m trying to warn you from a loving place in order to spare you the fine, but more likely I’m laughing at you for thinking stop lights are a suggestion and that laws don’t apply to you.

yah, i ran that light once. it was at night and i was just cruising along talking to my buddy and paying no attention.

even saw the flash from the camera. good thing i had temporary tags….

Oh ho ho…I thought the same once when I had just picked up a new ride and didn’t have my cruise card in it’s place yet. I rolled through the toll plaza and had a “oh crap!” moment…then a few months later the fine arrived in the mail – temp tags and all.

I called and they forgave (man that word looks wrong!) it since I had a cruise card, but there’s no real equivalent for the stop light cameras.

A friend in Savannah showed me his ticket that he got in the mail. It looked like he was sitting still then decided to run the red light. But the funniest part was the $70 fine.

    *shrug*

Weren’t they still just testing it then? Who knows, maybe you are…just wouldn’t be surprised.

The Man can be plenty crafy and resourceful when he wants your moolah.
