I second this. If you don’t know Sufjan, look into him. He’s the bee’s knees.

Also, although I urge early ticket purchases I wouldn’t be that concerned about it selling out *too* quickly. Still, I’d buy ‘em early to assure good seats. The Fox isn’t usually GA for shows.

This guy makes underwhelming Christian yuppie music.
    Case closed.

    Illinois is underwhelming? Wow.

And I warn against dismissing him as Christian music. I did the same thing for years, but eventually gave him a chance. Very, very glad that I did.

    “underwhelming Christian yuppie music”

someone once described u2 to me that way too. oh well you can’t please everyone. i for one will be at sufjan and enjoying every minute of it.

cheers, rich. the fox is pretty big and i guess getting a seat isn’t really the issue. getting a *good* seat, tho. different story.

Good music is good music. If you don’t like it then don’t listen. Don’t slam someone for what you think they believe. I have no use for any religion but I have found many types of music that would be deemed religious to be wonderful. From Indian/Hindu chants put to music, to many classical pieces that are all about God.

I’ll be there. “Illinois,” was one of the best records last year, inventive and original. I applaude an artist who writes with conviction about his beliefs.
