I went to the Sheryl Crow concert at The Fox last night and on the way in passed signs warning that MTV would be present and filming. At first, I thought that perhaps they were filming some sort of special or feature on Ms. Crow, which would be totally plausible given her year of saying buh-bye to Lance, being diagnosed with breast cancer, and resuming her North American tour — all while looking extremely hot and giving women in their 40s a very good name.

Instead, they were shooting footage for the new reality show “Cheyenne”, which I had never even heard of before last night. Apparently this fifteen-year-old girl from Texas is “on the verge of becoming a rock star,” and MTV is going along for the ride. She came out onstage at one point and sang “If It Makes You Happy” with Sheryl before disappearing backstage again. It was odd, but I must admit I’ll probably look for this episode to see how it all turns out in the end.
