its not everyday a cult hero appears in a local record shop

a lot of stuff happened in 1994 including my notoriously mediocre sophomore year of college, but one of the highlights had to be kevin smith’s film masterpiece clerks, a movie that rang true for anyone that had ever spent more than two minutes behind the counter at a convenience store.

fast-forward to 2006, smith is a cult icon and even took a shot at the mainstream*.

oh, and he is back with the sequel, clerks 2.

as part of his promo tour the director will be in town at criminal records in little 5 at 4 pm on thursday. apparently, signing, chatting and hanging out.

my guess, the place will be packed so I would get there early.

thanks to drive a faster car for the tip.

UPDATED ON 6-27******

the kevin smith appearance at criminal records is officialy cancelled according to their website for “circumstances beyond out control”*.
