Lucky Yates’ sushi yen

This is a really random bit of local celebrity nonsense, but I saw raconteur and improv impressario Lucky Yates at the Midtown RuSan’s this afternoon.

His unique vocal abilities and facial hair always bring to mind a certain Jimmy Buffett tune:

I wish I had a pencil thin mustache
The “Boston Blackie” kind
A two toned Ricky Ricardo jacket
And an autographed picture of Andy Devine

Anywho, if you ever get the chance to catch him perform at Dad’s Garage (or see him on Good Eats, or listen to him on the Regular Guys show on 96 Rock), consider yourself Lucky.

(Sorry for the pun. It’s Friday.)

Duane and I totally just missed you! We were there at 12!

    Too bad.

I’ve had my own sushi yen for a while, but I rarely go.

Jenn and I thought the music was deafening today and there was a wasp on our table.

Lucky’s appearance was the highlight of the afternoon.

And it was HOT. I think the A/C wasn’t working right.
