Georgians: Exporting Excess Everywhere

http://atlanta.metblogs.com/archives/images/2006/06/172690451_21553e8cec-thumb.jpg

So I was on vacation with my family last week in Paris. We were strolling from the Palais Luxembourg over to the left bank, when we strolled into the Place de Odeon. What did I happen to see there but the most surreal site ever.

A full-size Hummer with Cobb County tags double-parked in the middle of the circle. If I hadn’t taken a picture of it, I wouldn’t believe it had happened.

Seems we are not happy driving these god-awful monstrosities around Buckhead, but we need to export them to France as well.

Man – the lanes on 10th are not even close to wide enough for a hummer…I can only imagine how cramped it must be in europe. As long as the cobb folks stay OTP though…..

Paris is OTP too. How sad for you.

Damn that’s dumb. Aren’t we poorly regarded enough already?

I love the contrasting image of the Hummer in the foreground and an old Deux Chevaux in the back. Sort of an east-meets-west theme.

    Only in America… Wait, nevermind.
