Yet Another Free Summer Event

It’s summertime, and the selection of free happenings around town is primo right now. Of course, there’s the ever-popular Screen on the Green (which hosted an impressive crowd last week for Ferris Bueller’s Day Off) and the less-crowded (and highly enjoyable) Flicks on 5th.

If you’re a music fan, the free summer concert series Unplugged in the Park is now underway for the fourth year in a row. The tunes take place at Park Tavern — where you can enjoy food, beer, and a fantastic view of the Atlanta skyline — every Sunday evening at 7 p.m. Host Matt Organic Jones of 99X had some goodie bags last night that included iPod nanos, so the giveaways alone could make it worth checking out at least once this summer. The event is 21+, so don’t forget your ID.
