Jackets and Dawgs in College World Series

The College World Series gets under way this afternoon with our hometown Georgia Tech Yellowjackets taking on ACC rival Clemson.

Local Georgia Bulldogs (myself included) are waiting until tomorrow to see UGA play.

Baseball is like the forgotten college sport for me. I always keep up with football (obviously) and basketball, but the College World Series always seems like a little bit of false advertising.

I mean, aluminum bats? Come on.

Still, props to the big state schools for representing. Maybe we could get an all state of Georgia final.

Yeah – aluminum bats are weak, but the CWS is a better choice than the Braves right now.

College baseball is more entertaining than watching the Braves. Who wants to sit through the Braves inept hitting when home runs are flying all over the place in college baseball.
