Now, unless I missed it, the website doesn’t really say if you’re just suppose to show up and walk out to the runway. That can’t be true. So, I hope, if I show up, they’ll be some sort of information as to how to get to this new runway. Anybody know? Anybody care? LOL. I think it’s kind of cool.

Man, you got that right! With all that space, they could have Olympic events out there.

Do we have to go through the baggage/security screener prior to partying on the runway?

That’s a good question. One I have not found on the website yet. I am sure there is going to be some sort of security stuff.

Media day is actually today, Tuesday May 16. The “community day” for the opening is actually Saturday and is open to the public. To my knowledge, there is no fee to get in, but you will have to go through security.

There will be live entertainment and concessions. I’m lead guitar player for The Thomas Tillman Band, we’ll be performing 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM – we won’t have our information/security information until ednesday.

Here’s the info on how to attend the “Community Day” from the AJC site since the fine folks that operate the atlanta-airport.com site never bothered to post it.
