The Blogs, They Are Everywhere

Honestly, I love blogs. Maybe you could tell. I think the numerous ways we’re seeing them put to use ranges from harmless fun to genuine innovation. Those of you who say “Blogs! Bah!” are curmudgeons. Also, what the hell are you doing here?

Anyway, I dig these kinds of journal-like behind-the-scenes blogs that outfits like the Alliance Theatre are doing. It’s good, honest fun promotional stuff with just a skosh of educational material thrown in. You know, for kids. Here’s the blurb I heard:

The Alliance Theatre launched www.alliancetheatre.blogs.com today with the start of a Jelly’s Last Jam Artist Blog that will give audiences a behind-the-scenes look at the show all the way from first rehearsal through Opening Night on March 22. Other Artist Blogs for upcoming Alliance shows will be starting shortly.
