Food 101 – Morningside

Last night, I went to the new Food 101 in Morningside (it is not, as the website contends, in Va-Hi) and had a wonderful time. I’ve never been to the one in Sandy Springs, so I have no comparison. The food was fantastic and not too terribly priced. I had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken, mainly because I’m wholly unable to turn down that particular meal (it’s my favorite at South City Kitchen), and split a blackened ahi tuna appetizer. The dessert, also, was to die for – I had a warm chocolate bread pudding concoction with ice cream… mmmm…

The decor actually reminded me somewhat of Sotto Sotto, but I’ve no idea if there is any relation (they aren’t owned by the same group, I know that). The service was excellent (even on a really busy night) and the atmosphere was fantastic. All around, I highly recommend it.

Cool, I’ve always wanted to try Food101 but never wanted to drive up Roswell Road to do so.
