Play reading at Manuel’s

I hesitate to mention this event because I want to go and I don’t want it to be too crowded, but my duty as a Metroblogger wins out and here goes.

This coming Monday (Jan 9) at 8 pm, Manuel’s Tavern is having a reading of 7 Nights at Jay’s, a play by Karla Jennings that was inspired by Manuel’s. Admission is free. It’s in the North Avenue Room.

Desire lures patrons at Jay’s Spirit Emporium to unexpected destinations that lead back to each other as the strangers we usually pass by pull us into their lives and in the hopes, beliefs, and fantasies that shield us against Time’s embrace

7 Stages Theatre (on Euclid Ave, duh) has an excellent page that has a good bio of the playwright. If that doesn’t make you want to go to the reading, I don’t know what will.

Why is it not letting me post a link in comments?
