I hope you are having a great December and you are enjoying whatever holiday you celebrate this month.

As December is thought of as a time of giving, I just wanted to share a thought:

Animals.

We buy gifts for each other and visit each other and open our hearts a little more for each other during the month of December. Why not think about the animals in YOUR community as well? They need some good holiday cheer too!

There are animal shelters and pet organizations that need your help this holiday season! Why not consider making a financial donation or a supportive commitment to your local animal shelter or pet organization?

I�ve had a number of pets in my life. They were all very special. They all had feelings and they all had real needs. I tried to give them the best life I could. There are animals out there that wish for and need the same thing.

If you are truly ready to commit to a long term commitment and loving relationship with a pet, please seek out those first who�s home is a animal shelter. If you can�t meet that commitment right now, please ask what you can do to help your local animal shelter or animal organization in your area. Thank you!

Southern Hope Humane Society is a non-profit 501c3 organization dedicated to finding good, permanent homes for homeless shelter dogs and cats. Southern Hope became incorporated in March 1993 and was formerly known as Paulding Volunteer Animal Rescue. On July 1, 2003, Southern Hope was awarded the contract to manage the Fulton County Animal Services shelter, located at 860 Marietta Blvd in Atlanta.
