The Braves Talk (err… get blog-interviewed)
Over at Braves Journal, the players are being interviewed. First up were McCann, Macay, & James (all together) and Chipper. It really is very interesting. Classy guys, those Bravos.
Re: Seth’s question below, Chipper has this to say:
I think the Renteria trade was a great trade for us now. It might turn out that Andy is a perennial All-Star and makes us never forget that trade. But, in return, we got some immediate help. This guy is a tremendous player. I still feel as if there is at least one move that will be made, and I hope that my gesture has allowed the team the luxury of doing that. If this is the team that we have to go to battle with, then we will. I trust Bobby and John without question.
John Schuerholz said on one of the sports radio shows last week that he thinks that he will make 1 or 2 more “significant” moves before spring training. I wish that we would have made Trevor Hoffman or Billy Wagner a decent offer but I’m sure the bullpen will meltdown no matter whom is in it.
Remember how “brave” Chipper was to come out and fess up to cheating on his wife… right before the story was about to break..? Larry: whatta guy!
