Jewish For The Night
Tomorrow night (Wednesday, December 7 at 7:30) I (Andisheh Nouraee) will be one of the storytellers at Heeb Magazine’s Heeb Storytelling night at the Star Bar in Little Five Points.
Some of you who know me may be thinking “Gee, I didn’t know that Andy’s Jewish.”
Well, I’m not. Apparently, the organizers of the event aren’t particularly hung up on that fact. As long as my story is somehow related to Judaism, it’s all good.
The other storytellers are: Susan Bernstein (former art and culture editor, Atlanta Jewish Times), Jessie Bodzin (Managing Editor, Heeb), Merrill Hagan (Writer, AdultSwim.com; Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law; Stroker and Hoop), Rabbi Josh Lesser (a charismatic and engaging Rabbi — I saw him speak at a bris), Cliff Lovette (Usher’s attorney), and Schoolly D (hip-hop legend).
Music between stories will be provided by Atlanta’s own Reid Jacobson and his magic accordion.
Not that you’ll need it but Good Luck, Andy. As for me, I’ll be lifting pints at McCray’s with some of the other Atlanta drunks, er bloggers. Cheers!
