Babyface

We’ve got another!

A third baby gorilla, the grandson of Willie B, was born at Zoo Atlanta yesterday. Last week, a rare birth of twin gorillas were born. All three were fathered by a silverback named Taz (he gets around, huh?).

Look at those faces – adorable!

My friend works at Zoo Atlanta so I get all the baby announcements as soon as they’re born :) Funny story, when the third baby was born yesterday the mother of the twins took the baby away from it’s own mother and was nursing all the babies at the same time. They had to seperate the new mother and baby from the rest of the troupe for a bit so that they could bond and so that the other mother could realize that not all babies belong to her. As a side note there is at least one and possibly two more pregnant gorillas at the moment so there will be lots of babies this winter. I highly recommend a visit because they are allowing them out into the exhibit and they are sooooo cute!
