Brother Love’s Magic Dogs?
It seems that Midtown’s Tech Square has taken the next step in making Atlanta a real city: the lunch cart.
I don’t work downtown, so maybe there are lunch carts on the corners down there. Please let me know if there are, but on the few times I have been downtown on a weekday, I haven’t noticed any. But there, on the corner of West Peachtree and 5th, was Brother Love’s Magic Dogs, an actual real-life lunch cart, ready to satisfy all your hot dog needs.
It was 8 am when I passed, so I can’t say for sure if they are open today, but the menu was out, and it looked like they planned on slinging some chili dogs. I was disappointed in the lack of a Neil Diamond theme, but $1.85 seemed a reasonable price for an all-beef dog.
If you’re in to that sort of thing, that is.
I’m SO there today. Love chili dogs!
This is FANTASTIC news. Dare I dream of one day being able to buy a newspaper and chewing gum on the sidewalk without having to go inside Barnes & Noble in this almost-a-real-city of ours? Quiver.
Shame my wallet ended up in Douglasville today. Hey Lori, can I borrow $1.85?
I do work downtown & sadly the hot dog carts have dissapeared (as far as I could tell). I recall there being locations at Underground, GA Pacific & for a short while at Southern Power. But in the past few years they have dissapeared.
Shelby- You got it. I’m *such* the philanthropist.
Okay- I went and it was good. $5 flat gets you two dogs with toppings, chips, and a drink.
Veggie dogs???
There’s usually a hot dog cart in front of the Woodruff Arts Center…
My first Brother Love’s dog was less than magical. I may have to walk all the way up to Arts Center if Barker’s still keeps a cart there.
Did anyone see the hot dog man/truck standing outside the new movie theater at Atlantic Station? I saw it on two seperate days. I’d like to know if he’s there to stay or only for the grand opening. Hopefully he’s staying!!
