Got Vespa?
Hell on wheels, kids.
This weekend is the 4th Annual Deliverence Scooter Rally hosted by the wonderful individuals that make up the Imperial Scooter Club, so when dirving in town be on the lookout for wild men and women buzzing around.
The activities this weekend will include a burlesque show, golf course gymkhana, go-cart racing, a roller derby and lots of scenic rides around the city. Oh yeah, and a few rounds of golf.
Of course I’m most interested in the burleque show which will be Saturday at 11pm at The Masquerade. “A performance by Atlanta’s very own Doll Squad Burlesque Revue hosted by Sass Parilla, the Singing Gorilla. ” They’ll also be raffling off lots of great prizes, including a beautiful new “1978” Lambretta GP200, and the raffle proceeds will go towards scooterists impacted by Hurracane Katrina. What?!? Scooterists need love too.
Go git yer ride on, ya’ll.
y’all.
Give me an effin’ break. How about that strategically placed apostrophe?
Deliverance Scooter Rally? Will Ned Beatty be there squealing like a pig?
I’m not sure about Ned being on site, but you can bet someone is going to get cornered at some point and there are some big boys in the ISC…anything could happen.
Seriously.
I love the awards portion -“Largest Club, Drunkest Scooterist, Furthest Ridden, Furthest Travelled, Rally Jackass and the coveted S.O.C. Gymkhana Trophy.”
Drunkest Scooterist. Hm.
Stalker!!! YEAY! How are ya?
Truth be told I won’t be hitting either event, I’ll be doing the Breast Cancer 2-day OTP. Maybe I’ll put on my own burlesque show with an ode to Motley Crue to bring it full circle…
You know we have event tonight, are you going to grace us again?
