Panhandling vote this afternoon

The panhandling vote is scheduled for this afternoon. Some people are worried about panhandlers just relocating, however, some disagree: Johnny Fewell, another homeless man, said enforcing the proposed law won’t run the homeless out of downtown. “I think more will just start using signs,” he said, referring to a provision in the law that allows “nonverbal” requests for money. “People will figure out other angles to get around it.”
