living in the 80s / screaming in a back room / heading for the big boom
Do your legs get cold when you exercise? Do you still wish you could make your T-shirts change color just by touching them? Were you really annoyed when WMAX went off the air? Do you own a few too many shirts bought off of this site? Can you not wait for the DVD release of The Cosby Show? Did Bowling for Soup’s “1985” make you cry?
Then, clearly, you need to be at the ’80s party fundraiser for Metropolitan Counseling Services this Saturday at Red Brick Brewery in Midtown. $20 gets you a bottomless glass of beer, the chance to bid at a silent auction, and the ability to request all the ’80s tunes you want at a quarter each. Only, don’t worry about saving a quarter for the Hooters’ “And We Danced.” I’ll take care of it.
I will also, as a bonus, put a buck towards the songs of choice for the first Loyal Commentor to guess the song being quoted in this post’s title. Title and artist, please. Google not.
Escape Club, Wild Wild West.
I’m so jealous. I’m all about the 80’s and well have fun. Wish I could join the 80’s fun. Now if Orlando could get soething like that going. :0)
This does sound like a lot of fun… but I have a phobia about the 80’s … that was a rough decade for me. Maybe going to this would be therapeutic.
Congratulations, Nikki. Grab me when you get there.
