While Miami and other teams made a huge 13-player deal that grabbed all the NBA headlines, our local Hawks are trading one young combo Guard/Forward for another.

Of course, Boris Diaw hasn’t really lived up to expectations and Joe Johnson could be a rising star. But, honestly, does this do much for anyone?

I still have my signed 1987 Dominique Wilkins card from a memorable trip to the old Omni. I want this team and these new owners to succeed. But, pardon the pun, they don’t seem to be playing ball.
