Rain, rain, go away

Is it too much to ask that after a week of oppressive heat, terrible humidity and fry-an-egg-on-the-sidewalk sunshine that we get an enjoyable weekend for me to be in the pool? Huh!?

Granted, it’s a tour of pools: my in-laws today and my parents tomorrow, so there’s still hope, but I’m not holding my breath.

And tonight I’m attending my wife’s 10-year high school reunion – Fayette County High School Class of 1995. Wish me luck and let’s pray it stops raining. Guh!

…the rain does give a good excuse to stay home and catch up on “Not Melting” type activities.

Too true. I just got back from a matinee of War of the Worlds.

Yes the rain sucks- I’ve developed a disease on my heirloom tomato plants from this week’s downpour.
