Death by HOTLANTA!!!

So after a long day at the office… and too much time in traffic, I arrive home to find out that the air conditioning had died!! I called a bunch of places, but most were already closed. A couple that were opened wanted to schedule me for next week. Our kids seemed not to mind… Going upstairs (as heat rises), was like walking through warm water. We all ended up sleeping downstairs… Upstairs the thermometer read 86 degrees when I went to sleep! That’s 86 at 11 PM!

This morning, I had to call another six places, but finally found someone (outside of Atlanta) who would come and fix us…

Wow, this summer is hot!

Yeah, but it’s not the heat — it’s the humidity.

Moving to Atlanta and looking forward to the cool weather. I know that people that live in the desert deserve what they get, but in Las Vegas 4 days ago it was 115 at 6pm.

Heh, It may have been 115 in Vegas but it was 0% humidity. You may think you’re in for a treat with 95 degree temperatures here but just you wait :)

Humidity that you can cut through with a spoon!! It seems that whenever I walk outside… I start perspiring uncontrollably without physical effort.

Or as the bumper stickers say in Louisiana:

“It’s not the heat, it’s the stupidity”

It is so hot this year- I totally agree. I’m thinking of moving all of my bedroom furniture to the living room where the air blows cooler.
