Atlanta Blogger Wanted

Trust me when I say that blogging from work can be a serious hazard. But nowadays, blogging for work is one of the hottest new professions out there. And if you live in Sandy Springs then you — yes, you — can blog for the AJC about your brand new city!

ajc.com is looking for an experienced blogger to initiate conversation at ajc.com/sandysprings once or twice a week. We’re seeking a Sandy Springs citizen with cyber-sense, robust opinions and who is in the know but not part of the city’s political process. A sense of humor and fair play — and a vocabulary unpopulated by four-letter words — is expected.

What’s in it for you?
• Becoming an online presence who will be read by hundreds, maybe even thousands.
• Hosting conversation about Sandy Springs life and politics.
• Helping define the heart and pulse of a rising city.
• Not a lot of money (pay is negotiable).
• Writing in comfort at your own computer.

In short, the irresistible offer of a little fame and less fortune.

Still interested? Here’s what to do:
• Send a sample blog of about 500 words to cwarmbold@ajc.com by Wednesday, Aug. 3.
• Include brief biographical information along with your name, address and phone number.
• List a few other blog topics you’d like to write about.

Then again, that whole “not a lot of money” thing could be a deal breaker. Don’t quit your day job, you know.
