Robert Scoble in Atlanta

We’re not heavy in the meta here – unless you count the podcasting talk and recent awards post – but I think Robert Scoble’s upcoming visit to Atlanta warrants a post. For those that don’t know, Scoble is an A-list Blogebrity, 32nd most popular blogger on the internet (Technorati) and a blogger who works on Microsoft’s Channel 9. He’ll be in town next weekend and his meetup has merged with a local “Nerd Dinner in Atlanta” at 5 Seasons Brewing Company on Saturday, July 23 @ 7pm. Anyone up for making this a really huge event and bringing our Metroblog gaggle to join the throng? Leave a comment.

Also of interest, Scoble’s link blog.

I’d love to go and gush like a fanboy, but I’ll be in Nashville that weekend, dang it!

I have been attending all the Atlanta Nerd dinners since Feb and the guy who puts them together (Shawn Wildermuth) is a great guy. The meeting are fun and you get to meet a lot of interesting geeks form the ATL. Good stuff, I would encourage anyone to attend them (even if you can’t hit up the Scoble meeting).

Scoble? No way. Now, Eric Meyer… that would be a different story.

You would be surprised at how long I can talk about CSS.

In fact, this smells like a challenge to me… ;)
