Reason to leave the city

I’m an ITP kind of guy and I find it difficult to find reasons to leave the perimeter that often (heck, getting me out of Va-Hi can sometimes be difficult). But one of my favorite restaurants in all of Atlantaland resides in Norcross (yes, Norcross!). Dominick’s. My first experience with Dominick’s was on the night of Sept. 11 and, though I can’t say it provided enough comfort to make me forget that event I can say that it was an exercise in deliciosity (yep, that’s a new word). I’ve been back twice since and if it weren’t so far out I would go so much more often. My last time was this week and with a lack of baseball because of the All-Star Break I wasn’t even distracted by the TV’s at the bar. The ravioli was supreme and the bread (the specific name of which escapes me) was, well, heavenly with its mozzarella and prosciutto wrapping melted on top.

So it gets 7 stars out of 5. It’s right up there with Alfredo’s in food quality, but has a quieter atmosphere and it’s right on the quaint Norcross square. If only it were ITP…

I second that place! Haven’t been there in years, but it was great stuff. Do they still have the proscuitto-mozzerella-garlic-butter baguette appetizer?
