American Apparel coming to Tech Square

OH MY GOD YES. Soon everyone will get to wear really nice T-shirts made by well-paid, well-trained Los Angeles workers, overseen by an admittedly pro-porn owner!

(I mean, you can get said really nice T-shirts now online, or, frequently, via CafePress. But still. My anti-sweatshop boyfriend, who doesn’t like buying online, is probably going to be at this place the way I went to IKEA on the first day.)

Dear Lush: Take a damn hint, already.

I don’t mind my shirts being made by someone who’s into porn, as long as he washes his hands a lot.

Incidentally, that pro-porn owner is also getting slapped with two sexual harrassment lawsuits: http://www.nytimes.com/2005/07/10/fashion/sundaystyles/10HARASS.html?oref=login

But I’m all for nice t-shirts. Yay!

*All* of my shirts are worn by someone who’s into porn.

That’s great news! And, thanks for the Lush forum link. I can’t believe it’s not here yet.

Cathi: every time I have been to a Lush store of late, they regale me with stories of expansion; from the way they talk, Lush is going to single-handedly revive the American economy with its 3,200 store openings. And yet.

The former Corner Compact Disc site on North Highland would have been the perfect location. Not that I mind Dabberdoo expanding; still.

Conny: my original wording of the post was closer to “owned by a known sleazeball,” but that was third-hand info on my part, and therefore I thought it wise to rephrase.
