Cheating Regrets

I feel a little dirty. Like I’ve cheated on my girl and I’m now regretting it.

Last night, instead of heading to my preferred hot chocolate joint of Octane, I went to the other side of town. To JavaMonkey. For some odd reason Now, I don’t know if JavaMonkey has free WiFi (I didn’t bring my computer), but it’s owned by the same people who own Brick Store Pub, so you know it’s amazing. And it is. It’s a great coffee shop. Good atmosphere. Good service. Good live music, one thing Octane doesn’t have (or hasn’t when I’ve been there). It’s just too far from Tech for me to pretend like I’m going to get work done there.

Sorry JavaMonkey. As enjoyable as you are, Octane is still my hot cocoa (no whip) mistress of choice.

(Sorry, Jessica, I didn’t try any iced coffee beverages. That’ll have to wait for another visit).

I think that with hot chocolate unlike significant others, you’re allowed to cheat at a distance of 7.5 miles, so you’re fine. I really like java monkey, although it currently holds my personal record for most sullen barista–“I can’t believe I graduated summa cum laude and I’m selling obnoxious coffee drinks.”
