Things you find out about when you’ve left town for the weekend

Guess what? Obama is in town tonight

Unrelatedly (seriously), so is the circus.

The closing of Corner CD is saddening, if only because now the only really good music stores I know about in the city is Tower Records and, I suppose, Criminal Records. Corner CD was in walking distance though! Anybody know of any others? I’d hate to be relegated to going to Best Buy for my music needs…

Decatur CD is a good store with a nice owner, from what I can tell. Check it out.

There’s Wuxtry near Emory, kick ass with a knowledgeable staff and pretty good prices. There’s another in Chandler Park, I don’t remember the name right now.

The Candler Park one is “Full Moon Records” and they had a lot of vinyl last time I was in there. Don’t remember CDs at all (but it’s been a while). This one’s a little further out: Ella Guru in Toco Hills off North Decatur. Real nice store

I’ve been to Decatur CD but not the other ones mentioned here. Awesome! Now I have a weekend project that puts me in Decatur, which gives me an excuse to hang out at Brick Store Pub…
