Dates
This month’s Atlanta Magazine has an insert pamphlet on “101 Great Date Ideas.” Most of them are your pretty standard, get out and do something fun advice that you always hear but now they are arranged in categories. Under the “First Dates” category there is one called “Don’t Speak” –
Rather than tripping over your own tongue trying to find something to say, take conversation out of the equation by listening to singer/songwriter acts at Eddie’s Attic in Decatur, where the audience is encouraged to stay hushed while performers play their sets.
Now, I’m not one to knock Eddie’s Attic, but if by a first date you already have to “take conversation out of the equation” then there are some other issues going on there.
Also, another first date that is mentioned is a trip to Philips Arena to see a Thrashers or Hawks game. Umm, I’m not sure if anybody told them, but the Thrashers aren’t playing this season. Neither are the Hawks, really.
Note to Atlanta Magazine – when you are listing a business website address, make sure that it doesn’t hyphenate on a line break. It isn’t coffee-buythebook.com, it’s coffeebuythebook.com.
