2% folks – I’m not understanding what there is to celebrate – why have a press conference to make this announcement? This amounts to around $900 more per year or $75 more each month (before taxes).

In recognition of their hard work … $75/month?

“This is not, of course, something that is a windfall for any teacher, but this is enough for us to show our appreciation, and that they are a priority,” … $75/month

I only hope Kathy Cox is laughing at the sheer ridiculousness of her own statement printed above.
