I Love Walking in Atlanta…

… Because it’s 80 degrees in November. I love it that the homeless guy I see on my way to work takes the time to smile and wave as I rush by on my way to The King Plow Arts Center. (Yes I walk from the Highlands) One day he even told me I needed to hurry up because I was late. Only in Atlanta, could “because you look like a damsel in distress” sound believable when a guy offers you a ride home. But truly I love walking in Atlanta because of the characters. And on Mondays, I usually get to see the Baton twirling, whistle blowing, tutu wearing Trans who marches up Tenth street by Piedmont Park. Sister is fierce.
