So this is my first entry …I’ve been reading for the last couple of weeks, volunteered last week and am attempting to find my “voice” …

Rather hilarious reading the other posts … apparently we all hang in the same areas and have some of the same interests …the Braves, On the Bricks, despising Atlanta’s traffic ….

We need diversity!!!! Diversity in our entries!!! Maybe I can read the other authors and blog about the exact opposite? Perhaps I can blog en Espanol, si o no?

I dunno … I’m going to work on something … so if I like totally go like totally valley chick on you one day and then skrait ghetto fab-u-lous on ya the nex …just be assured it’s all just part of me trying to find my voice…

Speaking of finding … I just found this story on accessatlanta.com OPRAH got called for jury duty. I remember a year or so ago (I think) Bill Clinton got called …even my frigging brother who I registered to vote myself (hey I got HIS signature) got called 3 months after registeration …

I’VE BEEN IN ATLANTA FOR THIRTEEN YEARS …AND I’VE NEVER BEEN CALLED FOR JURY DUTY For 12 of those 13 years, I’ve been registered to vote.. (I was 17 when I arrived). I’ve been registered in Douglas County, Fulton County and Dekalb County so what gives? I hear the dread in my friends’ voices when they get that Pink and Red envelope in their mailbox. The first thing that pops into their minds How can I get out of this while all I think How can I be down?.

Dear (Insert Local Government here),
I promise if you summon me to your courtroom, I will arrive not only early but willing to serve in whatever capacity deemed necessary. If you need a law enforcement loving juror – I’m your gal! (Defense Attorneys – I still have a copy of F**k Tha Po-lice ifuknowwhaddamean) but I digress …
Please pick me – I am so sure I can be the juror that you need to prosecute/defend your case just tell me what ya need. I’ll even serve free of charge!!!
